What Fleeced! is
In Fleeced! you are a black-furred wolf who has been handed the keys to a private prison full of sheep. The state pays for the food, the bills and the payroll every morning, so none of that is your problem. What the state does not pay you is profit. The only way the account grows is the prison bakery, which means the sheep have to work.
A day runs on a clock. In the morning you walk the cell block and let the flock out. They file into the bakery, where you keep the ovens stocked with flour and carry the finished bread, rolls and pies to the loading dock. Delivery trucks pull up, pay for whatever is waiting and drive off. The money lands in a pile that you walk over and collect.
Profit buys the next thing. Yellow pads on the floor are purchases: a second oven, a hauler who carries flour so you do not have to, a call center, a work-release burger bus, a factory. Bribe a congressman and the law changes, which opens a whole new wing of cells plus groundskeeping, trash pickup and a meat processing plant. Every upgrade means more sheep, and more sheep means more output.
Each sheep serves a thirty day sentence. At the halfway mark it earns a mark for whichever workplace it has spent the most time in, and on day thirty it walks out of the intake gate a free animal, at which point the officer is free to arrest it again. Work wears sheep down; an exhausted sheep drops what it is carrying and goes to lie in the yard until a guard blows the whistle and sends it back. The game never tells you this is a bad way to run a country. It just lets the numbers go up.

How to play
- Let the sheep out. At the start of each day, walk into the cell block so the flock wakes up and heads for work.
- Keep the ovens fed. Walk into the flour sacks to pick flour up, then walk into an oven to load it.
- Sell the output. Carry baked goods to the loading dock and the next truck pays for them.
- Collect your money. Cash drops in a pile where it was earned. Walk over it to pick it up.
- Spend on a yellow pad. Stand on a pad and your money drains into whatever it buys: more ovens, a hauler, a new business, the congressman.
- Watch the yard. Sheep resting in the yard are not earning. A guard sends them back, and upgrades make them tire more slowly.
Controls
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| Arrow keys or WASD | Walk the wolf |
| Walk into something | Pick up, drop off or use it |
| Stand still on a yellow pad | Spend money on that upgrade |
On a phone or tablet: Drag anywhere on the game to steer the wolf. Everything else happens by walking into it, so there are no buttons to hunt for.
Tips
- A hauler pays for itself fast. While it carries flour, you can spend your own time on the loading dock, which is where the money actually appears.
- Do not let bread pile up on the ovens. Output stops when there is nowhere to put the next batch.
- Buy cell space before you buy production. Ovens with nobody to work them earn nothing.
- The congressman is expensive and worth it. The expansion roughly doubles the land you have to work with.
- Sheep keep their record between sentences, so a sheep that comes back already knows a job.
Questions
Does my prison save?
Yes. The game saves to your browser on the device you play on, so you can close the tab and come back. "New game" wipes it and starts again on day one.
What are the purple pads?
They are optional rewarded ads. Standing on one offers you a short ad in exchange for a boost. You never have to watch one, and nothing in the game costs real money.
Is this game making a point?
It is a satire of private prisons, prison labor and the buying of officials. Nothing in it is graphic, and the parents’ guide describes what is in it in plain terms.
Nothing in this game costs money, and there is no account to make. See the parents' guide for what is in it, or the privacy policy for what we store (almost nothing).
